Alain Paul Huppe passed away on January 23, 2026 at the age of 76. Born in Saint-Isidore, Canada, he was the oldest of five children of the late Romeo Huppe and Rita (Bijeau) Huppe. Alain came to the United States with his family at the age of seven, where he was raised and educated in Brunswick, Maine. He earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Massachusetts in 1972. That same year, Alain married Diane T. (Michaud) Huppe. Alain was a loving and supportive husband, and he and Diane enjoyed 53 wonderful years together.
Alain and Diane moved to Stoughton, Massachusetts after getting married, where they became long-time residents and raised their two daughters. Alain worked for a company now known as MGX Beverage Group for over 45 years, serving as Chief Financial Officer before retiring at age 68. For Alain, “retirement” meant continuing to work as a consultant, which reflected his strong work ethic and his loyalty to the company.
As a child, Alain loved Mickey Mantle, which made him a lifelong fan of the New York Yankees, much to the chagrin of his friends and family, who know the only baseball team worth watching is the Boston Red Sox. To his credit, Alain was also a huge New England Patriots fan, and we hope he knows the Pats are headed back to the Super Bowl. Alain enjoyed following the stock market in addition to watching his favorite teams, but most of all, loved spending time with his family and cats. He was immensely proud of his daughters and their families and felt blessed in life. He gave generously to his church and to charity, particularly the MSPCA, and often said “to whom much is given, much is expected.” Those of us who know and love Alain will remember his easy laugh and his sweet nature. He will be greatly missed.
In addition to his wife Diane, Alain is survived by his daughter Barbara Wong and her husband Jonathan of Trumbull, CT, and daughter Kimberly Raplenovich and her husband Matthew of Avon Lake, OH. He was “Papa” to his granddaughters Hannah and Naomi Wong and is survived by his siblings André Huppe (Christine), Suzanne Mason (Lloyd), Dianne Mahar (Wayne), and Louise Howe, his many nieces and nephews, and his two cats, Rhody and Shadow.
Visitation will be held at the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park Street (Rt. 27), Stoughton, on Friday February 6, 2026, from 9-10:30 AM, followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church in Stoughton at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations in Alain’s memory may be made to the MSPCA-Angell at 350 S. Huntington Ave, Jamaica Plain, MA 02130 or at https://support.mspca.org/site/Donation, or to a charity of one’s choice.
