Alfredo J. Pedro, 51, a lifelong resident of Stoughton, died along with his wife from injuries sustained from a motorcycle accident on Monday, June 28, 2021 in Stoughton. He was the husband of Aldina C. (Camara) Pedro for 23 years. Son of Maria (Mendonca) Pedro of Stoughton and the late Jose Pedro, he was born in Stoughton and graduated from Stoughton High School, Class of 1989. Al worked for the Stoughton DPW for the past 32 years, mainly driving the recycling truck. He also worked for MC Cleaning in Taunton for the past 7 years. Al was a member of both the Holy Ghost Society of the Azores and Holy Ghost Society of Club Luis de Camoes in Stoughton. He enjoyed fishing, riding his Harley Davidson and eating seafood but his greatest joy was spending time with his family.
In addition to his mother, Al is survived by his children, William M. Pedro and his longtime companion Katrina Barney, Melissa M. Pedro and her longtime boyfriend Matthew Irving and Daniel J. Pedro all of Stoughton, as well as his grandchildren, Aubrey Pedro, Ellianna Irving, Nathan Irving and Olivia Irving. He was the brother of Maria M. Vasconcelos and her husband João, Isilda M. Pimentel and her husband Jose, Flora P. Semiao and Adelina M. Pedro all of Stoughton and Isabel P. Carvalho and her husband Jay of Fall River. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and his family at the DPW.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Friday, July 9 at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Thursday from 4-7 PM. Interment at Evergreen Cemetery will be private.
