Ambrose Willliam “Bill” Buckley, III, 68, a longtime resident of Stoughton, MA died peacefully at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton surrounded by family, on Friday, October 21, 2022. He was the husband of the late Kathleen M. (Waters) Buckley. Son of the late Ambrose William Buckley, Jr. and Norma T. (Bismore) Buckley, he was born in Chelsea and raised in Stoughton. Bill was a graduate of Southeastern Regional Vocational Technical High School, Class of 1973 and UMass-Amherst. He was a chef at Sinai Hospital, Sir William’s Pub, Daffodils in Sandwich, and for several years was the head chef for the Hyannis Yacht Club, before his retirement. He also taught in the culinary arts program at Bristol Plymouth Regional Technical School. He enjoyed watching movies and cooking.
Bill is survived by his children, Kelly A. Buckley and her companion Patrick Conley and Ryan W. Buckley and his wife Susan all of Mashpee as well as his grandchildren, Leo, Colin and Norah. He was the brother of Paula T. Gulinello of Falmouth, Joseph Buckley, Mary Ann Caldwell, Christine Richard and Peter Buckley all of Stoughton and Thomas Buckley of Mansfield. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Wednesday, October 26 at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at St. James Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Tuesday from 4-7 PM. Interment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Stoughton. Donations in Bill‘s memory may be made to St. James Youth Ministry, 560 Page St., Stoughton, MA 02072.
