Ann Marie (Pepe) Wanders

AnnMarie (Pepe) Wanders, age 84, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 2, 2026, at Boston Medical Center South in Brockton.

Born in Dorchester, AnnMarie was raised in Jamaica Plain and Dedham and was a proud graduate of Dedham High School, Class of 1960. In 1968, she married David M. Wanders, and together they shared more than 57 years of marriage, raising their two beloved children until his passing this past September. AnnMarie was a resident of Stoughton since 1968.

AnnMarie was employed by Chadwick’s of Boston in West Bridgewater for many years before retiring in 1997. Though she was deaf, she never allowed her disability to limit her life. An expert lip reader, AnnMarie faced every challenge with determination and grace, living a full and productive life.

She loved going for walks and enjoyed needlepoint, reading her magazines and the National Enquirer, and taking trips to Foxwoods. Above all else, AnnMarie cherished time spent with her beloved family.

AnnMarie is survived by her son, David M. Wanders, Jr., and his wife, Linda, of Stoughton. In addition to her predeceased husband, David M. Wanders, Sr., she was preceded in death, by her parents, Carmine Pepe and Marie Modestino, both of Boston, and her loving daughter, Dianne M. Wanders of Stoughton.

She was a devoted sister to Robert Pepe and his wife Howe Pepe of Norwood and a loving Grammy to Kellyann and Kaitlynn Wanders, Tiffany Myers, Linda Myers, and Madison Bryant. She is also survived by many cherished cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Visiting Hours will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rte. 27) Stoughton on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 from 4-7 PM. Funeral will be held from Farley Funeral Home on Wednesday at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at St. James Church, Stoughton at 10:30AM with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton.
