Antonio Maria Dias Moura, 66, of Brockton, Massachusetts, passed away unexpectedly on the morning of July 20, 2026, after suffering a heart attack. While his passing has left an immeasurable void, his legacy of kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for his family will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Antonio was born on May 20, 1960, in the village of Lomba on the island of Flores in the Azores, Portugal, to the late Maria (Gonçalves) Dias and José Soares Moura. He began his career working for the Department of Public Works in Flores before immigrating to Stoughton in 1991 in search of a better future for his family.

He and his beloved wife, Maria Regina (Ramos) Moura, built a beautiful life together, sharing 47 years of marriage filled with love, devotion, and countless memories. They settled in Stoughton, where they raised their daughters before moving to Brockton in 2009.

Antonio spent many years working as an automotive mechanic, a profession that perfectly reflected his remarkable talents. There was seemingly nothing he couldn't fix. Whether repairing a vehicle, helping renovate a home, or solving a problem that others thought impossible, Antonio always found a way. He was the person family, friends, neighbors, and even complete strangers turned to when they needed help. His generosity knew no limits, and many strangers quickly became lifelong friends because of his willingness to lend a hand.

He lived with an open heart, a warm smile, and a loyal character. He never expected anything in return for his kindness and found genuine joy in helping others. His greatest pride, however, was his family.

Antonio leaves behind his devoted wife, Maria Regina (Ramos) Moura; his loving daughters, Tania Medeiros and her husband, Auxencio, of Stoughton, and Lenia Driscoll and her husband, Sean, of Bridgewater and his Mother-in-Law, Lucilia (Avelar) Ramos. He was a proud and adoring “Vovô” to Jayda and Tristan Medeiros, and Tyler, Travis, and Ryan Driscoll, each of whom brought him endless happiness and pride.

He is also survived by his siblings, Jose Maria Soares, Mario Moura, Francisco Soares, Maurício Moura, and Maria de Fátima Vasconcelos, along with many cherished cousins, extended family members, and countless friends whose lives were enriched by his generosity and friendship.

Antonio was predeceased by his parents, Maria (Gonçalves) Dias and José Soares Moura.

Though our hearts are broken, we take comfort in knowing that Antonio’s legacy lives on through the family he loved so deeply, the lives he touched through his kindness, and the countless acts of generosity that defined the man he was. He will be profoundly missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.

Visiting Hours will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rte. 27) Stoughton on Thursday, July23, 2026 from 4-7 PM. Funeral will be held from the Funeral Home on Friday at 9AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow at Melrose Cemetery, Brockton.
