Antonio V. Serpa, 84, a lifelong resident of Stoughton, died Saturday, May 25, 2019 at the Copley at Stoughton Nursing Home. He was son to the late Antonio F. & Virginia (Valadao) Serpa and the husband of the late Georgina C. (Silveira) Serpa. Born, raised and educated in Ponta da Faja Grande, Flores, Mr. Serpa was a proud active member of the Club Louis De Camoes, The Portuguese National Club and of St. Joao Society. He worked as an assembler at Raytheon for over 30 years and loved spending time with family and vacations to his home land in Flores.
Mr. Serpa is father to daughter Grace Hunt & husband Stephen of Stoughton and the late Gorett Lourenco; father-in-law to Teodoro Lourenco; grandfather to Christopher Hunt, Douglas Hunt, Courtney Hunt and Jaqueline Rum; great-grandfather to Isaiah, Amelie, Eliana and Noelle Hunt; brother to Ines Silveira of Portugal, Caetano V. Serpa of Arlington and the late Maria Mendonca; godfather to Jorgie, Jose and Isaac. He also leaves many nieces and nephews.
Visiting Hours will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rte. 27), Stoughton, on Saturday morning, June 1, 2019 from 9-11 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church at 11:30 AM.
