Arline H. (Grover) Colp-Doten, age 84, passed away peacefully on Thursday morning, May 27, 2021, at her home in Stoughton, surrounded by her beloved family. Oldest of 9 children she was the daughter of Margaret (Grover) Wolffe and Donald X. Wolffe. She was lovingly raised by her grandparents, Melvina and Charles Grover, alongside their daughter Elaine (Grover) Kahler. She was born in Norwood and raised and educated in Canton. Arline married her sweetheart, John A. "Jack" Colp in 1954, and together they raised 5 children, and enjoyed 37 years of marriage before his death in 1991. Arline later married David D. Doten who passed away in 2015. She was a resident of Stoughton for over 55 years, she loved her home always puttering, cleaning and doing home improvement projects. Arline enjoyed playing golf, bowling, fishing and was an avid fan of the Red Sox and Patriots. She loved music, dancing, singing and was a talented yodeler. She enjoyed the beach, cookouts, her annual 4th of July parade party, baking delicious pies and spending time with family and friends.
Arline is survived by her children; John A. "Jack" Colp, Jr. and his wife Anne Marie of Brockton, David A. Colp and his wife Heather of CT, Debora A. Sharples and her husband James J. and Diane M. Condon and her husband William, all of Stoughton and Edward J. Colp and his wife Andrea of Wareham. She was the sister of Mariann Taylor of Canton, Donald Wolffe and Donna Wolffe, both of Taunton, Margaret Manning of Berkley and the late Paul Wolffe, James Flint, Richard Flint and Patricia Bonito. She was the beloved Nana of 19, great grandmother of 11 and is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her two husbands and grandson Edward J. Colp, Jr.
A Visiting Hour will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rte. 27) Stoughton, on Wednesday, June 2, 2021, from 11AM-12PM followed by Graveside Services at St. Mary's Cemetery, 10 Randolph St., Canton, at 1PM.
