Barbara M. (Gallagher) Botaish

Barbara M. (Gallagher) Botaish, age 88, passed away at the Hebrew SeniorLife Assisted Living Facility on March 5, 2023. She was preceded in death by her first husband Peter Jeannetti, as well as her second husband Francis Botaish, who she was married to for over 20 years before his passing. Born in Boston, she was the daughter to the late Ruth (Neale) and Russell Gallagher, and was raised in Dedham, and graduated from Dedham High School. She went on to work as a Manager of a subscription circulation department for a major publication for over 20 years before retiring. She loved the beach and being by the ocean and spent a lot of time running the Wellfleet Beachcomber from 1952-1978. She also enjoyed reading, traveling internationally and going on cruises, and especially tending to her garden, and loved spending time with her family.

Barbara is also survived by her children, Peter P. Jeannetti and his wife Karen of Norwood, and Daniel F. Jeannetti and his wife Carol of Stoughton, and was predeceased by her children Joan R. Zarthar and John J. Jeannetti. She leaves behind her 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She was the sister to David Gallagher of Harwich, and the late Bruce Gallagher, and is also survived by her sister-in-law Margaret Gallagher, and her cousin Cindy Sullivan, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Barbara’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 309 Waverley Oaks Rd, Waltham, MA 02452.
