Barbara J. (Vickery) Cummings, age 66, passed away on May 16, 2026, at Newbridge on the Charles in Dedham. She met her husband John P. Cummings in 2006 on Match.com, and they married in 2013, sharing 13 loving years of marriage together. Born in Hull, she was the daughter of the late Norman Vickery and Florence (Jeffrey) Vickery, and was raised and educated in Hull, graduating from Hull High School. Working at various medical facilities, she was a medical assistant for over 20 years. Barbara was devoted to her faith in Jesus, reading the Bible daily, and was a member of Grace Church in Avon for over 10 years. She was involved within the church community, always donating her time to help others in need. An avid Patriots fan, Barbara enjoyed watching them on football Sundays, along with winning her family fantasy football league multiple times. She loved to make creations with her Cricut, making shirts and stitching items, but above all spending time with her family was her greatest joy.
In addition to her husband John, Barbara is survived by her children Jenny Grieco of Dighton, Joseph Grieco and his wife Jenn of Hingham, Nichole Woods and her husband Jeff of North Attleboro, and John Kilcommons and his wife Melanie of Canton. She was the grandmother of Landon, Marley, Lennon, Domenic, Luca, Axl, Sawyer, Theo, Trevor, Brynn and Grace. She was the sister to Henry Simmons of OK, Carolyn McNeil of NH, Michael Vickery of Norwell, Norman Vickery and his wife Lillian of Marshfield, Charlene Vickery McCarthy of Middleboro, Teresa Vickery Ayou and her husband Bob of Carver, Adam Barrett of Weymouth, and was preceded in death by her sister Patricia Vickery.
Visitation will be held at the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park Street (Rt. 27), Stoughton, on Thursday May 21st from 9-11 AM, followed by a Funeral Service at 11 AM.
