Barbara Jeanne (Eichorn) Cunningham, 83, a lifelong resident of Stoughton, died peacefully at Boston Medical Center South in Brockton on Saturday, December 13, 2025. She was born in Stoughton, daughter of the late George E. and Mary M. (Smith) Eichorn. She was a graduate of Stoughton High School, Class of 1960. Barbara was an executive secretary at Brookfield Engineering in Stoughton and Middleboro for 30 years before retiring at age 70. She was active with the Stoughton Council on Aging. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
Barbara is survived by her sons, David M. Cunningham of Old Orchard Beach, ME and Brian E. Cunningham and his husband Alfredo Castrillon of Brockton as well as her grandchildren, David M. Cunningham Jr. and his wife Lyse, Allyson Hefler and her husband Richie and Kasey Tyson and her husband Alex. She was the sister of the late George E. Eichorn.
Visiting Hours will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Monday, December 22 from 4-7 PM. Funeral will take place from the funeral home on Tuesday, December 23 at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Stoughton. Donations in Barbara‘s memory may be made to Immaculate Conception Church, 122 Canton St., Stoughton, MA 02072 with St. Anthony Food Pantry on the memo line.
