Barbara Jean (Raggiani) Mondor, age 89 passed away peacefully on the morning of November 11, 2025 surrounded by her family and husband. She was the dear wife and bestfriend to Robert B. Mondor for 67 loving years. Born in Brockton, she was the oldest of 4 children, born to the late Emilio and Beverly Raggiani on November 5, 1936. Educated in Brockton, she was a graduate of Brockton High School. Barbara held a variety of jobs throughout her professional career, serving as a telephone operator, school aide, nanny, and home health aide. Barbara met Bob at a local dance. On that fateful night, he proclaimed to her, “I’m going to marry you,” and the stars truly aligned. Barbara and Bob were married in 1958 and raised three children together in Stoughton. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and had a special place in her heart for the family dogs. Barbara took great pride in being a grandmother and great-grandmother, and never missed an opportunity to tell the children, “I love you more than you’ll ever know.” Bragging endlessly about her grandkids, she jumped at the opportunity to attend their sports games, graduations, and other milestone moments throughout their lives. She always made them feel loved.
In addition to her adoring husband Bob, Barbara is survived by her daughters Lynne Denton and her partner Tom Doyle of Brockton, and Lori Hagman and her husband John of Bridgewater, daughter-in-law Christine of Foxboro, her son Marc Cooperstein of North Andover, and was preceded in death by her son Robert Mondor, Jr. She was the loving sister to Albert Raggiani of Raynham, Janice Cunha of Stoughton, and was predeceased by her sister Francine Fahey. She leaves behind her 4 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews and loved ones. Barbara was a true matriarch of the family, and she will be missed dearly.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday November 20th at 10:30 AM at the Immaculate Conception Church in Easton, 193 North Main Street, Easton. Burial will be held privately with family.
