Barbara Mervis Swallow, 66, died at BayPointe Rehabilitation Center on August 5, 2022, after a long period of declining health. Born in Stoughton on January 2, 1956, to the late Robert Connor and Mervis E. (Granger) Connor, she attended Stoughton schools and was an accountant at Stoughton Motor Mart for many years. She liked to read, do crossword/sudoku puzzles, was a tremendous cook and she loved to party.
Barbara is survived by her two sons Jason Connor (Michelle) of RI and David Haglof of Brockton; three grandchildren, Dominic Ford of RI, Alex Rosati and Julian Haglof of Brockton; five siblings, Roberta Large (Rich) of NH, Beverly Doherty of Brockton, James Connor (Lupita) of ID, Carol DiStefano and Richard Swallow (Christina) of Stoughton; sister-in-law Donna Connor of Stoughton and brother-in-law Edward Mattingly Sr. of FL. Nieces and nephews, Edward Mattingly, Jr., Melissa Mattingly, Marlene Mattingly, Michelle Mattingly, Kerri Kelley, David Fischer, Troy Large, Scott Large, Larry Hunter, Christina Swallow, Rick Swallow, Tess Connor, Megan Connor, Jeanna DiStefano, Rob DiStefano and Jay DiStefano. along with many great nieces, great nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister Elaine Mattingly, brother Robert Connor, brother-in-law Albie DiStefano, nephew Michael Swallow, and infant niece Tanya Hunter.
