Barry D. Resnick, 84, died Tuesday, August 3, 2021, at Newfield House in Plymouth, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's. Born and raised in Boston, he was a 1955 graduate of Brighton High School. In November of 1955, he enlisted in the US Navy and proudly served until he was Honorable Discharged in August of 1957. After returning home, he enrolled at Boston University and graduated in 1963. He worked in the printing industry his entire life before founding Proforma Printing and Promotion in 1999, a company he led until his retirement in 2018. Barry was an avid sports fan and longtime, dedicated hockey coach. He coached for the South Shore Seahawks for more than 20 years and later at Plymouth Carver High School.
In his free time, he enjoyed spending time with his beloved family, cooking, traveling, taking care of his greyhound dogs, and following the Celtics, Bruins, Patriots, and Sox.
Barry is survived by his three beloved sons and their families; William M. Resnick and his wife Heather of Milton, Mark J. Resnick and his wife Coleen of Walpole and John S. Resnick and his wife Kerri of Duxbury; his life-partner, Jane McMorrow of Pembroke; grandchildren: Matthew, Alice, Campbell, Erin, Sean, and Ryley Resnick; and his niece Sara Robinson of Brighton. He was the brother of the late Linda Robinson.
Graveside Services will be held in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Connery Ave, Bourne, MA. A celebration of Barry's Life will be held in the near future and all are welcome.
