Barry B. Richardson

Barry B. Richardson, 76, passed away in his sleep on Friday, March 20, 2026 at the Alliance Health Center at West Acres in Brockton, after a long period of declining health. Born in Boston, son of the late Arthur C and Winifred V. (Cromwell) Richardson, he was raised and educated in Sharon and at St. John’s School in Canton and was a 1969 graduate of Sharon High School. In June of 1970, he joined the United States Navy and loyally served for almost 3 years, primarily on the USS Gearing. After his Honorable Discharge, in 1973, he moved to The Minneapolis-St. Paul, MN area and later to Anchorage, Alaska where he lived until returning to Stoughton in 2015. While in Alaska, he worked in the restaurant industry for many years. Barry enjoyed fishing and watching soccer in his free time.

Barry is survived by his siblings, Bruce A. Richardson of Stoughton, Wendy W. Richardson of Brockton, Mildred V. Richardson of Millbury and Arthur G. Richardson of Worcester. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Graveside Services will be held in the Rock Ridge Cemetery, 101 East St., Sharon, MA on Monday, March 30, 2026 at 11 AM. Donations in Barry’s memory may be made to the Pine St. Inn, 444 Harrison Ave, Boston, MA 02118.
