Bernadette E. (Arsenault) Leger, 87, died Sunday, February 15, 2026, at her home in Stoughton, after a long period of declining health. Born, raised and educated in Cap-Pele, New Brunswick, Canada, she was a graduate of a Teachers College in Canada. In 1966, she married Donald P. Leger and together they came to the United States and settled in Stoughton and raised their family. Known as Bernie to friends and family, was a dedicated wife, homemaker and mother who worked as a Full Time Substitute Teacher at Stoughton High School for many years. Bernie and Don enjoyed traveling and had fond memories of returning to Canada to visit family and trips to Europe, the Caribbean, Alaska and Florida. She enjoyed hiking and trips to the beach and was a talented baker. Above all, she cherished her time with her beloved family.

In addition to her husband Donald P. Leger of Stoughton, she is survived by her three sons and their wives; Maurice P. Leger and his wife Lisa of Easton, Marc D. Leger and his wife Jennifer of WA, Andrew R. Leger and his wife Jane of Belmont. She was the beloved Memere of Lauren Bryant, Sarah, Jack, Paige, Matthew, Benjamin and Grant Leger. Bernie was predeceased by her siblings, Marc Arsenault, Adrien Arsenault, Huberte Throop, Alma Vautour, Irene Arsenault and Doris Allain. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visiting Hours will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rte. 27) Stoughton on Thursday, February 19, 2026 from 10 AM-11 AM followed by Funeral Prayers at 11 AM.
