Brenda Sousa Catalano

Brenda Sousa Catalano, 72, a lifelong resident of Stoughton, died peacefully at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Brighton on Thursday, December 29, 2022.  She was the wife of Steven P. Catalano for 33 years.  Daughter of the late John Philip Sousa and Marguerite “Rita” (Wilson) Grant, she was born in Brockton.  She graduated from Stoughton High School, Class of 1969 as well as hairdressing and cosmetology school and certified nursing assistant school.  Brenda was a hairdresser at the Tender Trap in Canton for 35 years.  She was the former director of “We The People” and “Snyder’s Stoughton” both on Stoughton Public Cable.  She enjoyed dining out with family and friends, fishing, horseback riding and cooking shows.

In addition to her husband, Brenda is survived by her sisters, Sandra Grover, Linda LaFleur and Debra Belyea all of Stoughton.  She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Graveside Service will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, 1100 Washington Street (Rt. 138) Stoughton on Wednesday, January 11 at 11 AM.  Visiting hours will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Tuesday, January 10 from 4-7 PM.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Brenda‘s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
