Bruce J. Weyneth

Bruce James Weyneth, 61, died peacefully on Thursday, August 13, 2009 at the Massachusetts General Hospital. For 25 years, he was the loving husband of Carolyn C. (Canavan). Born and raised in Geneva, NY, he was a graduate of St. Francis DeSales High School, where he was senior class president. Bruce attended Rochester Institute of Technology and was a graduate of the University of North Florida. Bruce, a sales manager, resided in Sharon, Massachusetts since 1983 and most recently lived in Lakewood Ranch, FL.
He was the proud father of Barrett Ryan Weyneth and Travis Leigh Weyneth, both of Sharon, and his stepson Jason E. Hill and his wife, Lisa Cherkerzian of Watertown, Mass. He was the brother of Susan M. Atkinson of Glens Falls, N.Y. and the late David Weyneth and JoAnne Bonacci. Bruce was the son of the late Frances (Ryan) and Howard E. Weyneth.
Bruce was an avid golfer and also enjoyed basketball, relaxing at the beach, walking, camping, and rooting for the Sox and the Noles. Most importantly he enjoyed spending time with his large extended family and his friends.
A Memorial Mass will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 59 Cottage St., Sharon, MA , on Friday, August 21th at 10:00 AM. Visiting hours will be held at the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St (Rt 27) Stoughton on Thursday, August 20th from 5-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bruce's memory to the Mass. General Hospital Practice Improvement Division (hospice care), 55 Fruit St., Boston, MA 02114.
