Catherine E. Hannon, age 66, passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 22, 2024. Born in Brockon, she was the daughter to the late John Hannon II and Louise (Lennon) Hannon. She was a graduate of Brockton High School, Class of 1976. She was a dedicated hard worker as a typist, at the New England Art Publisher’s for almost 20 years. She was a kind, loving, and funny person with a boasting sense of humor, and she cared and loved her friends and family deeply.
Cathy was the devoted mother to Nicole Hannon of Stoughton. She was the sister to John Hannon III, and was preceded in death by her siblings Patricia Machado, Jeffrey Hannon, and Thomas Hannon. Cathy was the proud aunt to Amy Miller and her husband Dean Hazzis of Auburn, Tracey Gavin and her husband Andrew Kenoff of Los Angeles, and Jennifer Kullen and her husband Kevin of Bridgewater, as well as many other nieces and nephews. Cathy also leaves behind many of her close friends, Lynne Washburn, a dear friend of 53 years, Janice Barthelemy, whom she worked with at New England Art, and Teresa and Steve Tapper, her newer circle of friends who have become family.
Visitation will be held at the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park Street (Rt. 27), Stoughton, on Monday January 29th from 10-11:30 AM, followed by a Funeral Service at 11:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations in Cathy’s memory may be made to Rosie’s Place, a women’s shelter based out of Boston, at Give to Rosie's Place - Rosie's Place (convio.net)
