Catherine T. (Twomey) Johnson

Catherine T. (Twomey) Johnson, 82, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died peacefully at home on Tuesday, July 2, 2024. Daughter of the late Joseph T. and Elizabeth A. (Cunniff) Twomey, she was born in Waltham and raised in Belmont. She was a graduate of St. Joseph School in Belmont and Belmont High School, Class of 1960. She also graduated from Cambridge City Hospital School of Nursing. She resided in Stoughton since 1969. Catherine was a registered nurse at Cambridge City Hospital for 5 years before working at Brockton Hospital for over 20 years. She enjoyed pottery, sewing, knitting, upholstery and gardening but her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

Catherine is survived by her children, David M. Johnson and his wife Monica of Bridgewater, Patricia A. Foley and her husband Vincent of Stoughton, Joseph P. Johnson and his wife Lori of Concord and Philip G. Johnson and his wife Mary of Bridgewater as well as her grandchildren, Erica, Michael, Sarah, Elizabeth, Avery, Isabella, Kendall and Emelia. She was the sister of Helen F. Kilduff of Portland, OR. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and leaves behind several friends and neighbors at West Stoughton Village.

Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rte. 27) Stoughton on Wednesday, July 10 at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Tuesday from 5-7 PM. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Catherine’s memory may be made to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, PO Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284-9168.
