Christine M. (LaCivita) Comeau, 91, died Sunday, February 13, 2022, at the Marian Manor in Taunton, after a period of declining health. She was the wife of the late Eugene A. Comeau, who passed three weeks before her, and the late John Gregory. Born, raised and educated in Stoughton, she was a longtime resident of Taunton, after living in Brockton during her first marriage. Mrs. Comeau worked for Rust Craft Card Company before she moved to the garment industry where she was an accomplished band saw operator in the production of garments for Garland Mills. After leaving Garland, she worked for Cape Cod/Cricket Lane, then retired in 1995. She enjoyed bowling and square dancing with her husband, Gene. Christine spent many hours knitting and making baptismal bibs for her church. She joined her fellow Rocky Knoll Crafters making stuffed teddy bears for children in local hospitals. Christine enjoyed oil painting and the art of Japanese Bunka embroidery. She was a member of Oakland Seniors and the Red Hat Society.
Mrs. Comeau is survived by her stepson Edward Comeau and his wife Ann of NJ. She was the grandmother of Christian, Kelsey, Daniel and Jack Comeau. She was the sister of the late Anthony LaCivita, Catherine Murphy, John LaCivita, Mary Techeira, Adeline Costa, Michael LaCivita, and Ann Farrington. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and grand and great-nieces.
A visiting hour will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Thursday February 17th from 10-11AM, followed by Funeral Prayers at 11 AM.
