Claire Virginia (Hennessey) Gorham, 92, died peacefully at Baypointe Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center in Brockton on Tuesday, July 14, 2020. She was the wife of the late Thomas F. Gorham, Jr. Daughter of the late Joseph H. and Claire V. (Coleman) Hennessey, she was born in Boston and raised in Dorchester. She was a graduate of Jeremiah Burke High School. Claire resided in Stoughton for over 10 years before moving to Brockton. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Claire was the mother of Thomas F. Gorham, III and his wife Janice of Worcester, Virginia C. Gorham of Lynn and the late Joseph J. Gorham and his surviving wife Elaine of Brockton. She was the grandmother of Brittany Ramos, Matthew Gorham, Kelly Giguere, Shannon Gorham-Marrone, Alexandria Shuman and Alicia Shuman and great-grandmother of Jacob Giguere, Abigail Giguere, Ethan Ramos, Lucas Ramos, Grace Gorham, Faith Gorham, Loren Marrone and Eva Marrone. She was the sister of Arlene Powers of Canton and the late Joseph Hennessey, Jr and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visiting Hours will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Monday, July 20 from 4-7 PM. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, Funeral Mass will be private. Interment will take place at Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. In lieu of flowers, donations in Claire's name may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
