Daniel B. Soares

Daniel B. Soares, 61, of Brockton, formerly of Stoughton, died at Brockton Hospital on Tuesday, April 28, 2020. Son of the late Jose C. and Alexandrina (Braga) Soares, he was born in Praia, Santa Maria, Azores, Portugal before moving to Stoughton at age 12. He was a graduate of Stoughton High School. Daniel was a landscaper for many years before working at Casual Male in Canton for several years. He enjoyed fishing and hunting in his free time.

Daniel is survived by his daughter, Diane J. Solomita and her husband Michael of Brockton and his granddaughter, Bella Solomita. He was the brother of the late Manuel Soares. He is also survived by his former wife, Sheila J. (Ferland) Soares.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, private family services will be held with a burial at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Stoughton.
