Deborah Lee (Burns) Duhamel, 68, a resident of Bridgewater, died peacefully at home on Saturday, February 28, 2026 surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Douglas M. Duhamel for 47 years. She was born in Cambridge, daughter of the late John and Yvonne (Brodette) Burns. She was raised in Watertown and graduated from Watertown High School, Class of 1975 and Massachusetts Bay Community College. Debbie resided in Brockton for over 40 years before living in South Dennis for 6 years and Bridgewater for the past year. She was an X-Ray Technician at the former Cardinal Cushing Hospital in Brockton for over 20 years before retiring in 2001. Her greatest joy was spending time with friends and family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Debbie is survived by her children, Kristen M. Duhamel and her husband Erik Hernandez-Travers of Brockton, Kerri L. Cantrell and her husband Kyle of Raynham and Mark D. Duhamel and his wife Rachael of Bridgewater as well as her grandchildren, Ava, Callie, Fiona, Logan, Nora, Mia, Madelyn and the late Owen. She was the sister of Patricia Hunt and her late husband William of Watertown, sister-in-law to Craig Duhamel and his wife Kim of Rome, GA, sister in law to the late Cheryl Packard of Bridgewater. She is also survived by her niece and nephews, John Hunt, Steven Hunt, Cheryl Furtado, and Brian Duhamel as well as many cousins.
Visitation will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rte. 27) Stoughton on Monday, March 9 from 9:30-11:30 AM followed by a Prayer Service at 11:30 AM. Interment will be held privately with family. In lieu of flowers, donations in Debbie’s memory may be made to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, PO Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284-9168 (www.dana-farber.org) or Old Colony Hospice, 321 Manley Street, West Bridgewater, MA 02379 or (www.oldcolonyhospice.org).
