Demetrios “Jimmy” Lambropoulos, 91, died Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at his home in West Roxbury. Born in Arcadia, Greece, son of the late Nicholas and Anna (Kondoyiannis) he was raised and educated in Greece before coming to the US in the early 50’s and settling in (Mission Hill/Roxbury/Boston). He continued his education at Northeastern University and graduated with his Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. He later earned his Master’s Degree in Engineering. Jimmy became a US Citizen in his 20’s. He worked as an Electrical Engineer for several area companies including RCA and GE both in Burlington and later retired from the Mitre Company in Burlington. Jimmy enjoyed listening to Classical music and Greek music and was proud of his Greek heritage and culture. He was a gifted handyman and part time inventor who enjoyed dining out and spending time with his family and friends.

Mr. Lambropoulos was the brother of the late Arthur Lambros and Georgia Lambros, and is survived by his sister-in-law Veneta Lambros of Randolph, his nephew Nick Lambros and his wife Jacqueline of Norfolk and his niece Georgia Lambros of Randolph. He was the great uncle of Ariana, Isabella, and Nico Lambros.

A Visiting Hour will be held at the St. Nectarios Greek Orthodox Church, 39 Belgrade Avenue, Roslindale on Tuesday September 17th from 10-11AM with Funeral Services to follow at 11AM. Interment will be held at The Gardens at Gethsemane Cemetery, 670 Baker Street, West Roxbury. Donations in Jimmy’s memory may be made to St. Nectarios Church at www.stnectariosma.com.
