Derrill M. "Teddy" DeMarino, III, died unexpectedly on Saturday, August 7, 2021 after being stricken ill at his home. He was 54. Born in Boston, he was raised in Stoughton and was a 1985 graduate of Blue Hills Regional Technical High School in Canton. He was a longtime resident of Stoughton before moving to Sharon over 3 years ago. In 2000 he married Dina R. Buzzanga, and together they shared the past 21 years of marriage. Teddy was a dedicated husband, father, brother and son. He worked as the Head of Security for the Bay State Cruise Lines in Boston for over 38 years and also worked for Laborers Union, Local 22 in Malden for several years. Prior, he worked for the Carpenters Union, Local 218 in Medford and also worked security at the Casino in Falmouth for many years. A talented artist and tattoo enthusiast, Teddy was the former owner of Pushin Ink Tattoo Parlor in Middleboro. He was a dedicated fan of Boston Sports Teams. In his free time, he enjoyed being surrounded by his family and his friends.
In addition to his beloved wife Dina, Teddy is survived by his children; Derrill M. DeMarino IV of Canton, Dante M. DeMarino and Mirabella S. DeMarino both of Stoughton. Son of Geraldine E. (Drew) DeMarino of Stoughton and the late Derrill M. DeMarino, he was the brother of Darlene M. Vivieros and her husband Jason of Kingston, Dean M. DeMarino and his wife Kimberly of Easton and Deo M. DeMarino and his wife Kelly of Plainville. Teddy was the son in law of Antonio M. Buzzanga of Saugus and the late Santina "Santa" (Argurio) Buzzanga and the brother in law if Ercole Buzzanga and his wife Wendy of Wilmington, Donatella Botolino and her husband Ricky of FL and Ricardo Buzzanga his wife Tracy Buzzanga of NH. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Friday, August 13 at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at the Immaculate Conception Church at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Thursday from 4-7 PM. Interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Teddy's memory may be made to American Heart Association, 300 Fifth St., Suite 6, Waltham, MA 02451.
