Donald G. "Moe" Peters

Donald G. “Moe” Peters, 90, died August 15, 2022 at the CareOne Nursing Home in Randolph, after a period of declining health.  Born in Boston, he was raised and educated in Dorchester and Mattapan and was a graduate of Boston College High School, where he was a member of the Track Team.  He was a longtime resident of Stoughton.  Moe worked as a Truck Driver for Gilchrist’s Department Stores and later for PJ Casey in Canton for many years.  He was a member of Teamsters Local 25 and Local 82 and retired several years ago. Moe enjoyed walking at DW Fields Park in Brockton and the Irish Cultural Center in Canton and enjoyed meeting coworkers and friends at the Turnpike Café. He also enjoyed trips to Martha’s Vineyard on the “Valhalla”.  In his free time, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

The youngest of 5 children of the late John and Elizabeth Peters, he was predeceased by his siblings, John, Edward and Gerald Peters and Kathleen Dwyer.  He was the beloved brother in law and friend of the late Barbara A. Peters and was also predeceased by his in laws Mary Peters, Jack Dwyer and Betty Peters.  Moe was the devoted uncle of Edward Peters, Jay Peters, Diane Peters and Lorraine White.  He is also survived by several other dear nephews and nieces.

Visiting Hours will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Monday, August 22, 2022 from 9-11AM followed by Funeral Prayers at 11AM.  Burial will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, West Roxbury.  Donations in Moe’s memory may be made to Hope Health Hospice, 1085 N.
