Donna M. (Bannon) Cross, 77, died Friday, September 4, 2020, at her home in Avon, surrounded by her beloved family, after a period of declining health. She was the wife of the late Robert S. Cross, who died April 1st of this year. Born in Boston, daughter of the late Charles and Dorothy (Silva) Bannon, she was raised and educated in Stoughton and was a graduate of Stoughton High School. Mrs. Cross was a resident of Avon for over 50 years. She worked as a hairdresser at Cut & Curl in Stoughton for over 46 years, retiring several years ago. Donna enjoyed spending time outdoors by her pool, swimming and boating on Lake Winnipesaukee and camping. In the winter, she enjoyed skiing and snowmobiling. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with her family.
Mrs. Cross is survived by her children; Robert S. Cross, Jr. and his longtime partner Donna Lucas of NH, Lisa M. Cross of Canton and Nicole P. Cross of Avon. She was the grandmother of Summer L. Pacheck. Donna was the sister of Patricia Junta of Harwich, Ann Smith of Lakeville, Charles Bannon of Stoughton, John Bannon of Norton and Thomas Bannon of Middleboro. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
