Dorothy (Lutinski) Clarke passed away peacefully on Ash Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at the Augusta Center for Health and Rehabilitation, with her family lovingly by her side. She was the devoted wife of the late Charles S. Clarke Jr. Born on July 8, 1935, in Everett, MA, Dorothy was the daughter of the late John and Blanche Lutinski. She graduated from Everett High School in 1953 and went on to work for many years at Hit or Miss, where she served as a lead and proudly represented her co-workers as a union representative for the ILGWU.
Dorothy and her husband “Chuck” shared 38 wonderful years together, enjoying simple joys such as fishing in Hull, collecting lighthouses, Friday night card nights, and traveling to Nova Scotia to see the puffins. In her later years, Dorothy loved attending the YMCA in East Bridgewater, where she participated in chair Zumba and built a cherished circle of friends. Above all else, she treasured the special, irreplaceable bond she had with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Dorothy leaves behind her daughter Catherine (Clarke) Baker of South Easton, MA; her son Charles “Chic” Clarke III and his wife Laurie of Augusta, ME; and her son John Clarke and his wife Kathy of North Carolina. She was affectionately known as “Boopsie” by her 11 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren, with one more expected soon. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother John Lutinski, her son Stephen Clarke, her daughter’s fiancé Alden Sarty, and her grandson Michael Amalfitano.
Visitation will be held at Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park Street (Rt. 27) in Stoughton, on Thursday, February 26th, from 9-11 AM., followed by Funeral Prayers at 11 AM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to the CMTA in honor of her great-grandchild Camden at https://give.cmtausa.org/campaign/750502/donate or to the American Heart Association at https://www.heart.org/.
The family would like to thank Augusta Center for Health and Rehabilitation for the wonderful care she was given. As well as , Andwel Health Partners Augusta Hospice Team for making her final days comfortable.
