Edith M. (Johnson) Driscoll, age 97, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on September 25, 2026, at the Copley at Stoughton. She was preceded in death by her husband Walter Driscoll. Born in Quincy, she was the daughter to the late David and Jennie (Ellis) Johnson and was a graduate of Quincy High School, Class of 1947. Throughout her life, Edith held several jobs, but her greatest role and source of pride was being a homemaker. She devoted herself to her family, caring for her children and creating a loving and welcoming home for those she loved. Edith enjoyed ceramics, baking -especially her famous brownies, and spending time with her family and loved ones. Above all, her family was the most important part of her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them. A kinder soul you’ll never meet.

Edith is survived by her children; Stephen Driscoll and his wife Patricia of Stoughton, Robert Driscoll and his wife Bernadette of Onset, Dennis Driscoll and his wife Janet of Dennis, Deborah McNamara and her husband William of Stoughton and Russell Driscoll and his wife Jacqueline of Taunton. She was the Grammy to 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, and was preceded in death by her siblings Marie MacLeod, David Johnson, William Johnson, Vernon Johnson, Eva MacPherson and Beverly Gill. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park Street (Rt. 27), Stoughton, on Wednesday September 30th from 9-11 AM, followed by a Funeral Service at 11 AM.
