Edmund P. “Paul” Bousquet, 87, died peacefully at his home on Friday March 3, 2023. Born and raised in Hinsdale, NH, he was a graduate of Hinsdale Schools. After graduation, he enlisted in the US Air Force and loyally served for over four years. While in the Air Force, he met and later married Hazel Briffett and, upon his honorable discharge, they moved to Stoughton to raise their family. Paul worked at the Patriot Ledger in Quincy for over 40 years and retired as the Printing Foreman at age 68. Paul was a member of the Cedar Hill Golf Club and the Knights of Columbus in Stoughton. He will be remembered as a loving husband, devoted father and beloved grandfather who had a delightful sense of humor. In his free time, he enjoyed golfing with his grandson and friends at Cedar Hill, dining at Tommy Doyle’s in Brockton, attending family gatherings, vacationing with friends and dancing with his beloved wife Hazel.
He was predeceased by his wife Hazel, who passed 2 months ago in January 2023. He is survived by his devoted daughter, Lisa A. Gillis of Stoughton and her children, Hannah N. Gillis, Nicholas A. Gillis and Christina Hazel Gillis. He is also the father of Michael P. Bousquet of NY and is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Graveside Services will be held in the Evergreen Cemetery, 1100 Washington St., (Rte. 138), Stoughton on Friday, March 10, 202023,23 at 11 AM.
