Eleanor R. Anderson, age 98, passed away peacefully at Life Care Center of Raynham on August 18, 2026. Longtime resident of Avon and Raynham. She was preceded in death by her husband Ernest W. Anderson. Born in Avon, she was the daughter of the late Charles Murray and Argia (Cavicchi) Murray. She worked as an assembler for a medical manufacturing company for many years before retiring. She enjoyed cooking, doing word puzzles, Hallmark holiday movies, ordering from catalogs and sending greeting cards. She loved lobster and vacationing on Bailey Island, ME with family.

Eleanor is survived by her children David Anderson of Turner, Maine and Ralph Anderson and his wife Sheila of Avon. She is survived by her granddaughter Carly Malvesti and her husband Michael and her great grandson, Jameson, all of Abington. She was preceded in death by her brothers Charles, Wallace, Thomas and Donald Murray. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, who knew her fondly as “Aunt Eleanor” and with whom she always kept in touch through phone calls and letters, no matter where they were living. Her family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to her devoted friends and neighbors who supported her in living independently until very recently. A sincere thank you also to the staff at Life Care Center of Raynham.
