Elizabeth (Diggs) Crowe, 69, a longtime resident of Brockton, died unexpectedly on her mail route in Newton on Monday, August 18, 2025. Daughter of the late Curtis and Mary Edna (Amos) Diggs, she was born in Boston and raised in Stoughton. She was a graduate of Stoughton High School, Class of 1974, and also took some college courses. She resided in Brockton for the past 30 years. Elizabeth was a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service for over 40 years, working mainly in Newton. She enjoyed gardening and taking care of her home but her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
Elizabeth is survived by her children, Jonathan J. Crowe of Worcester, Christina M. Krasow and her husband Julian of Dracut, Christopher D. Crowe of Brockton, Jason McGee of Massachusetts and the late Renee McGee and Otha McGee as well as her grandchildren, Melody and Abigail Krasow, Janiyah Crowe, Sabrina, Raeshaun, Shamus, Otha and Cory. She was the sister of Edna Vann and her husband Cortez of Hampton, GA, Curtis Diggs of Yarmouth, Ernest Diggs and his wife Greta of Dorchester, Corene Hill and her husband Darnell of Berea, KY, Edward Diggs of Stoughton and Mary Holland and her husband Carlos of Stoughton. She was preceded in death by her former husband, Gerald Crowe. She is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Friday, August 29 from 9-10:15 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Edith Stein Church, Brockton at 11 AM. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton. In lieu of flowers, donations in Elizabeth‘s name may be made to the American Heart Association, PO Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284-0692, www.heart.org.
