Ellen F. (Green) Conrad, 75, died Sunday, April 19, 2026, at her home in Easton, after a long and courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by the love of her family. Born in Brockton, she was raised and educated in Stoughton and was a graduate of Stoughton High School, Class of 1968. She also graduated from the Northeastern School of Radiologic Technology in Boston. In 1974, Ellen married David R. Conrad, and together they spent over 51 years married and raised their three beloved children. She was a resident of Easton for over 50 years. Ellen worked at the Goddard Hospital in Stoughton, where she was Chief Radiology Technologist, and at Brockton Hospital before her retirement in 2019. She specialized in mammography where her own battle with cancer inspired her to care deeply for her patients.
Known for her loving sense of humor, Ellen had a way of putting people at ease. She was caring and loyal and had a deep love for her family and her grandchildren. She loved to celebrate holidays, especially Christmas Eve at her home. Throughout her life, she enjoyed spending time with her family on the cape in Brewster and Eastham and looked forward to the days with her grandchildren on “Grammie’s Beach”.
In addition to her beloved husband and life partner, David R. Conrad of Easton, she is survived by her children, Jason D. Conrad and his wife Kristin and Andrea (Conrad) Burke and her husband Gerard, all of Franklin and Elizabeth (Conrad) Flynn and her husband Patrick of St. Louis. She was the loving Grammie to Chase and Aislyn Conrad, Owen and Aidan Burke and Lillian and Ella Flynn. Ellen was the sister of Lauren Green of Bourne, Patricia Walker and her husband Wayne, Joseph D. Green, Jr. and his wife Mary, all of Stoughton. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and many other family members and lifelong friends. Ellen was predeceased by her parents Joseph D. Green, Sr. and Doris T. Green.
Visiting Hours will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rte. 27) Stoughton on Monday, April 27, 2026 from 4-7 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 28, 2026 at Holy Cross Church, 225 Purchase St., Easton, at 10:30 AM with a burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton. Donations may be made to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute in honor of the years of care, compassion and professionalism they showed to Ellen during her battle with cancer at Dana Farber Cancer Institute, PO Box 849168, Boston MA 02184-9168 or at www.dana-farber.org/give.
