Eric Francisco Barraza

Eric Francisco Barraza, 41, a longtime resident of Milton, died unexpectedly in Swansea on Thursday, March 24, 2022. Son of Linda Ann (Sturgeon) Barraza of Milton and the late Gustavo Barraza, he was born in Boston and raised in Milton. Eric was a graduate of Milton High School, Class of 1998 and New Mexico School of Natural Therapeutics. He resided in Weymouth for 10 years before returning to Milton. He was a coordinator in the human resources industry for several years. Eric was a kind, genuine soul who was very artistic and enjoyed painting. He was a lover of nature and enjoyed being outdoors, playing soccer and listening to music but his greatest joy was spending time with his beloved daughter, Sofia.

In addition to his mother, Eric is survived by his daughter, Sofia Luna Barraza of Bridgewater as well as his siblings, Gustavo G. Barraza of Milton and Linda M. Whitman and her husband Justin of Stoughton. He is also survived by his nieces, Camryn and Kelsey Whitman and his former wife, Vania G. "Gaby" (Bocaletti) Barraza.
