Evelyn I. (Drews) Hvoslef, 96, died Wednesday, July 14, 2021, at the LifeCare Center of West Bridgewater, after a period of failing health. Born in Dorchester, she was raised and educated in Roslindale and was a graduate of Roslindale High School. She married Ralph N. Hvoslef in 1947 at Holy Name Church in West Roxbury, and together they spent over 63 years of marriage before his passing in 2010. She was a resident of Easton for the past 16 years, previously living and raising her family in Stoughton for over 53 years. She worked as a Teacher's Aide at Stoughton High School for over 11 years and later at BayBank in Stoughton for several years. She retired many years ago. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with friends at Queset on the Pond, cooking, shopping and was the happiest surrounded by her beloved family.
Evelyn is survived by her children; Jeanne M. Homer and her husband Paul of VA, David P. Hvoslef and his wife Barbara of Mansfield, Karen A. Brown of Easton and the late Richard S. Hvoslef. She was the grandmother of Jennifer Corsini, Matthew Homer, Eric Hvoslef and Julia Hvoslef and the great grandmother of Braeden, Abigail and Colin Homer, Nathan and Caroline Corsini and Logan Hvoslef. Evelyn was predeceased by her brother Thomas E. Drews and her sister Genevieve M. Drews. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Monday, July 19, 2021 at 10:30AM followed by a Funeral Mass at St. James Church, Stoughton at 11:30 AM.
