Fernanda (Salema) Braga

Fernanda (Salema) Braga, 72, died Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton.  She was the wife of 47 years of the late Angelo F. Braga.  She was the daughter of the late Antonio Salema and Maria Liliana Guerrero.  She was born and raised on the island of São Miguel in the Azores, Portugal before moving to Stoughton many years ago.  She resided in East Bridgewater for 15 years before moving to Canton 6 years ago.  Mrs. Braga worked for Power General in Canton for many years, retiring in 1995.  She loved flowers and gardening but her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. 

Fernanda is survived by her three loving daughters; Diane M. Carreiro and her husband John of Plainville, Pamela Braga-Andrade and her husband Kenneth Andrade of Bridgewater and Jessica Braga of Canton.  She was the beloved grandmother of Kaylah Andrade, Nathan Leite, Jarrid Carreiro, Myla Leite, Michael Andrade and Jayden Carreiro.  She was the sister of Natalia Correia of São Miguel, Portugal, Antonio Salema of Dartmouth, Alice Carreiro of Connecticut and the late Luisa Carreiro.  She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.  

Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rte. 27), Stoughton on Saturday, January 28 at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10 AM.  Visiting Hours Friday from 4-7 PM.  Interment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Stoughton.
