Frank Carroll, Sr., 75, passed away on March 2, 2025, at Presentation Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center in Brighton, MA after a long period of declining health.
Frank was born on Nov. 13, 1949, in Quincy, MA to his parents, the late Mary and Joseph Carroll. He was the oldest of his siblings: Michael Carroll of Greensboro, NC, the late Patrick Carroll of Stoughton, MA, the late Dennis Carroll of Sandwich, MA, Joseph Carroll and his wife Pamela of Henderson, NV, and Mary MacDonald and her husband Joseph of Stoughton, MA. He also had several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Frank graduated from Stoughton High School in 1967 and enlisted in the Army in Nov. 1968. He proudly served his country in Vietnam (1968-1970), and received a number of commendations, including a National Defense Service Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, Vietman Service Medal with 3 Bronze Service Stars, and a Vietnam Campaign Medal, before being honorably discharged in 1974. He worked for New England Telephone and Stone & Webster before his early retirement as a Disabled Veteran.
Frank has three children from his first marriage: Frank Carroll and his wife Lauren of Ashland, MA, Stephanie Heller and her husband Scott of Stoughton, MA, and Paul Carroll and his wife Jacqui of Franklin, MA. He also leaves behind six beloved grandchildren: Sydney, Shaylin, Brynn, Emma, Joseph, and Roslyn.
Frank married his second wife, Adrienne (McLoughlin) Carroll, in March of 2005. They settled down in Largo, FL, where they spent many happy years together before Adrienne passed away suddenly in March 2024. Frank enjoyed spending time with AJ, listening to music, playing the harmonica, and drawing.
Visitation will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rte. 27) Stoughton on Friday, March 14 from 10-11 AM followed by Funeral Prayers at 11 AM. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton. Donations may be made in Frank’s honor to the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), (https://www.vfw.org/) or the Disabled American Veterans (https://www.ihelpveterans.org/).
