Francisco Luis Henriques, 89, a longtime resident of Stoughton, MA passed away on Wednesday, October 8, 2025 surrounded by his loving wife and daughter. He was son of the late Francisco M. and Maria F. Henriques, he was born in raised in Lomba das Lajes, Flores, Acores, Portugal on May 11, 1936. He served in the Portuguese Army and he carried his service with immense pride. He came to the United States in 1962 and settled in Stoughton, where he met his bride and married in 1964. He was loving and devoted husband of Victoria Mendonca Henriques for 61 years. He was hardworking and a strong business minded person, along with his wife achieved their desired dreams. Frank worked for Digital Equipment Corporation in Natick, MA for many years as a computer hardware technician, he enjoyed his work which also expanded to business trips to Los Angeles.
Frank was a devout catholic, attended mass weekly until he became ill, a communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton. He was a member of Clube Luis de Camoes, the Portuguese National Club of Stoughton as well as the Swifts Beach Improvement Association in Wareham. He was an active and devoted member of the brotherhood of the Devine Holy Ghost of Clube Luis Camoes and also the Holy Ghost Society of Acores.
In his free time, he enjoyed traveling in the United States, many countries in Europe and going on cruises. He enjoyed fishing and being by the ocean. He enjoyed computer games, dominos and gardening. He worked out every day at the gym, followed by morning coffee with friends. His greatest joy was spending quality time with his family.
In addition to his beloved wife, Frank is survived by his loving daughter, Victoria Marie Henriques of Stoughton. He cherished his role as a father with unwavering love and pride. He was the brother of the late Gilberto, Celestino and Jose Antonio Henriques. He is also survived by many brother and sister in-laws, nieces and nephews. Frank’s kindness and love for his family and friends will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
Visiting Hours will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Thursday, October 16 from 4-7 PM. Funeral will take place from the funeral home on Friday, October 17 at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Stoughton.
