Francisco V. Lourenco, 74, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died peacefully at Seasons Hospice Inpatient Center in Milton on Sunday, September 12, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Maria Vitoria (Serpa) Lourenco for 49 years. Son of the late Jose and Adelaide (Vieira) Lourenco, he was born and raised in Flores, Azores, Portugal. He resided in Stoughton for the past 49 years. Francisco was a warehouse selectman at several companies in the area for many years before retiring at age 68. He was a member of Club Luis de Camoes in Stoughton. He enjoyed gardening, his fruit trees and playing cards but his greatest joy was spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife, Francisco is survived by his daughter, Dr. Ana P. Lourenco of Foxboro and his grandsons, Zachary and Ryan Tubbs. He was the brother of Daniel Lourenco and Deolinda Laurenco both of California, Maria Gomes of Toronto, Canada, Luisa Melo of Strathroy, Canada, Adelaide Lourenco of São Miguel, Azores, Portugal, Antonio Lourenco of Falmouth, João Lourenco of Flores, Azores, Portugal and the late Jose Lourenco. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Friday, September 17 at 11 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 12 PM. Visiting Hours Thursday from 4-7 PM. Interment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Stoughton.
