Gerald J. Sullivan, 72, a longtime resident of Canton, died peacefully at home on Tuesday, April 21, 2020 surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Margaret A. "Peggy" (Travers) Sullivan for almost 49 years. Son of the late Samuel H. and Dorothy C. (Curtin) Sullivan, he was born in Boston and raised in Dorchester. Gerry was a graduate of Boston Latin School, Class of 1966 and Boston College, Class of 1970. He continued his education at Suffolk Law School, where he earned his Juris Doctorate and Bentley College with a Master's Degree in Taxation. He resided in Canton since 1977. Gerry was a certified public accountant and founding partner at Donovan, Sullivan and Ryan in Westwood where he worked for 40 years. He was a longtime member and Past Treasurer at Wampatuck Country Club in Canton and a longtime member of the Canton Town Club. He was a board member and coach for Canton Little League and Canton Youth Soccer for several years. He enjoyed playing golf but his greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Gerry is survived by his children, Gerry Sullivan and his wife Erin and Kerry Emde and her husband Eric all of Canton and Kaitlyn Scannell and her husband Greg of Marshfield. He was the loving grandfather of Gerry, Sean and Kevin Sullivan, Laura and Michael Emde and Maeve and Joe Scannell. He was the brother of Samuel Sullivan of San Antonio, TX. He was the brother-in-law of Bert and Susanne Travers and Joe and Leanne Travers all of Marshfield and Rick and Barbara Travers of Norton. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, a private family service will be held with a celebration of Gerry's life to be held at a later date. Interment will take place at Canton Corner Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Gerry's memory may be made to Old Colony Hospice, 321 Manley St., West Bridgewater, MA 02379.
