Geronique Julien, 94, died Sunday, February 8, 2026, at the Boston Medical Center South in Brockton. Born in Jacmel, Haiti, daughter of the late Jules and Josiane (Thelemaque) Julien, she was raised and received secondary education in Haiti. Geronique was the wife of the late Max Mettelus. She raised her family in Haiti and came to the United States in 1997, settled in Dorchester and was a resident of Stoughton for the past several years. While in Haiti, she worked as a seamstress. Geronique enjoyed cooking and was known for her Tchaka and enjoyed spending time with friends as a member of Soley Leve in Dorchester. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with her family.
Geronique was the mother of Kettly Romulus of Stoughton and Mona Novembre of NY and the late Carline Mettelus and Kesner Mettelus. She was the grandmother of Farah Romulus, Jessica Romulus, Dina Deravines, Keslene Mettelus, Mario Jean and Jude Junior Chiron. She was the great grandmother of Richard Dieujuste, Elijah Dieujuste, Pouchy Jean, Jayden Valme, Faith Valme, Nizhaya Auplante, Junior Raheem Allen, Leila Allen, Maki Samuel Annanaelle Jean and Jaxon Hunter. She was the sister of the late Clairemencia Alexandre, Osner Julien, Rigaud Julien and Jules Julien.
Visiting Hours will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rte. 27) Stoughton on Saturday, February 21, 2026 from 9-10 AM followed by Funeral Prayers at 10 AM. Burial to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Stoughton.
