Gladys M. (McMahon) Joyal, 74, a resident of Taunton, died peacefully at home on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Paul Joyal. Daughter of the late Gladys (Melzar) Mark and her husband Walter, she was born in Brookline and raised in Stoughton and Norwood. She was a graduate of Norwood High School. She resided in Brockton for 26 years before moving to Taunton 19 years ago. Gladys worked for Gilmore Elementary School in Brockton for several years. She was then the Assistant Director of Nursing at St. Joseph Manor and Heights Crossing both in Brockton. She enjoyed taking care of people but her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Gladys is survived by her sons, Christopher P. Joyal and his wife Anna of California, Peter P. Koepfer and his wife Kristin of North Dighton, Mark H. Koepfer of Taunton and Michael J. Joyal of Raynham. She is also survived by her siblings, Virginia, Patricia, Bonnie, Laura, Daniel and Walter as well as several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Visiting Hours will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Tuesday, June 8 from 4-7 PM. Funeral Service will be private followed by interment at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. Donations in Gladys' memory may be made to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, 28 West 44th Street, Suite 609, New York, NY 10036.
