Gloria E. (Pilla) Tillgren, 100, died peacefully at her home in Brockton on July 21, 2026. Born in Brockton, she was a lifelong resident of Brockton and a graduate of Brockton High School. In 1952, she married Russell W. Tillgren and together they spent 66 years of marriage and raised their three beloved children. Gloria was a dedicated and loving wife and mother. Together with her husband Russell, she helped to run their family business, R. E. Tillgren Tree Service, for many years, and retired several years ago. Gloria was an avid walker and enjoyed playing cards with friends and spending time with her loving family.

Predeceased by her husband Russell, Gloria is survived by her children, Edward B. Tillgren and his wife Linda of Berkley, Diane Filkins of AZ and Jeffrey M. Tillgren and his wife Wendy of Taunton. She was the beloved Nana of Michelle Petrozzi and her husband Michael of Franklin and Jason Tillgren of Taunton. Gloria was the sister of the late Rose Crooker, Carmella Pilla and Louis Pilla. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held in the Melrose Cemetery, 88 N. Pearl St., Brockton, MA on Wednesday, July 29, 2026 at 11 AM.
