Helen T. (Horan) Ball

Helen T. (Horan) Ball, age 102, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2022 at the Residence of Five Corners in Easton.  She was the wife of the late Raymond F. Ball.  Born in Boston, she was the daughter to the late Madelyn F. (Schwartz) and William T. Horan, and was a lifelong resident of Stoughton.  She graduated from Stoughton High School, Class of 1937.  She attended Manchester Community College and received two Associate’s Degrees, one in Business Administration and one in General Studies.  She worked as a Compliance Officer for the U.S. Department of Labor, Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs.  She retired in 1992 at the age of 72.  She enjoyed gardening, dancing, and traveling, especially on cruises, with her family.

Helen is survived by her children, Madelyn M. White of Santa Ana, CA and Raymond F. Ball of Great Mills, MD.  She was predeceased by her siblings Edward “Red” Horan, Leo Horan and William Horan.  She was the grandmother of Jonathan M. White and leaves behind many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park Street (Rt. 27), Stoughton, on Thursday, November 3 from 9:30-10:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church in Stoughton at 11 AM.  Interment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Stoughton.  In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Helen’s name to a charity of your choice.
