Helen B. (Frizzell) Converse, 101, died Thursday, at the CareOne Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Randolph. Born in Woburn in 1918, one of 8 children, she was raised and educated in Woburn and was a graduate of Woburn High School, Class of 1936. In September of 1938, she married Robert Converse and together they raised 9 children. Mrs. Converse was a resident of Stoughton for over 40 years. She was a dedicated homemaker, mother and grandmother. Helen was a motorcycle enthusiast and as a younger woman, she enjoyed riding her Indian Motorcycle with her husband. She also enjoyed going to Laconia, NH for Bike Week, "Yardsale-ing" with friends, gardening and spending time with her beloved family.
Helen was the mother of Robert S. Converse and his wife Sharon of Raynham, Janice Frazier and her husband Robert of SC, Gail Misciascia and her husband Vincent of CA, Eugene Converse and his wife Barbara of FL, Roger Converse and his wife Theresa of Dennis, Wayne N. Converse and his wife Deborah of Stoughton and the late Ernest G. Converse and his surviving wife Nadine Bellew of Dedham and Helen C. Converse. Helen was predeceased by her 7 brothers and sisters and one grandchild. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
