Helen Jane (Petrie) Quinn

Helen Jane (Petrie) Quinn, age 94, passed away peacefully after a period of declining health, on November 3, 2023 at Bethany Health Care Center in Framingham. Born in Brockton, she was the daughter to the late Ida (Barnes) and Alexander Petrie. She was the loving wife to the late George Joseph Quinn for 44 years before he passed away in 1997. She was a lifelong resident of Brockton. She worked as an Admissions Clerk at the Massachusetts Respiratory Hospital in Braintree for many years before retiring. She volunteered at American Red Cross for 20 years and Catholic Charities Food Pantry for 15 years. She was known for her apple pie and brownies, and absolutely loved to bake – nothing was ever store bought. She also enjoyed reading in her spare time, and spending time with her family.

Helen is survived by her children Sister Patricia Quinn CSJ of Brighton, Joseph Quinn and his wife Jennifer of Pensacola, FL, Barbara Gustas and her husband Charles of West Bridgewater, and Susan Hillman and her husband Mark of Fort Walton Beach, FL. She also leaves behind her grandchildren Charles Gustas (Captain USMC), Jason Hillman, Amy Hillman, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Visiting Hours will be held at the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park Street (Rt. 27), Stoughton, on Tuesday November 7^th from 4-7 PM. A Funeral Service will be held the next day, Wednesday, November 8^th at the funeral home, at 11:30 AM. Interment will follow at Melrose Cemetery in Brockton. In lieu of flowers donations in Helen’s memory may be made to the Bethany Health Care Center in Framingham, 97 Bethany Road, Framingham, MA 01702.
