Henry Richard "Dick" Fallon, 85, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died peacefully on Sunday, December 27, 2020 following a long illness. He leaves behind his loving wife of 63 years, Barbara J. (Kiernan) Fallon. Son of the late Henry L. and Margaret (Ryan) Fallon, he was born and raised in Boston. Dick was a graduate of Stonehill College, Class of 1957 and joined the Air National Guard where he went to Denver, CO to join a new program to study photography. And that he did. As one of the most recognized news photographers in the Boston area, he went on to work for the Boston Globe, Boston Herald, Brockton Enterprise and even a brief stint at the National Enquirer. He was a member of the Press Photographers Association. His greatest joy was spending time at his cottage at Blue Fish Cove in Brant Rock and relaxing with his with family.

In addition to his wife, Dick is survived by his children, Donna Cavanaugh of Whitman, Barbara Harris and her husband Bill of Stoughton, Patricia Hurley and her husband Jack of Bridgewater, Richard Fallon of Taunton, Joseph Fallon of Quincy and James Fallon of Stoughton. He was the brother of Col. Paul Fallon (USAF Retired) and his wife Ann of Texas and Jeanne Messmer and her husband William of Braintree. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, funeral services private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Dick's name may be made to the Animal Rescue League of Boston, 10 Chandler Street, Boston, MA 02116.
