Iphigenia (Andreou) Palaiologou, 88, died at home in Stoughton on Monday, July 18 after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late John P. Palaiologou. Born in Amherst, she was educated in Greece before returning to the U.S. at age 17. She resided in Stoughton for 35 years. Mrs. Palaiologou was a homemaker at home with her family. She was a member of the Greek Philoptohos of the Boston Cathedral and the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Brockton. In her free time she enjoyed gardening, crocheting and sewing.

Mrs. Palaiologou is survived by her daughters, Rodothea Kavadas and her husband Rev. Demetrios of MI and Panagiota "Toula" Demetriades and her husband Evangelos of N. Easton. She was the grandmother of Iphigenia Pappas, John Kavadas, Iphigenia Demetriades, Katherine Conley, Joanne Andrews, Elena Demetriades and the late Stephen and Basil Kavadas. She was the sister of Avra Avayiannos of Greece, George Andreou of Medford, Alexander Andreou of Natick and the late Stella Sarris. She is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Thursday, July 21 at 9:45 AM followed by a Funeral Service at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, Brockton at 11 AM. Visiting Hours Wednesday 5-8 PM. Interment will take place at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Easton. Donations in Iphigenia's name may be made to the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 457 Oak St., Brockton, 02301 or Stephen Demetrios Kavadas Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o Hellenic College, 50 Goddard Ave., Brookline, 02146.
