Irene (Flaherty) Wikstrom

Irene (Flaherty) Wikstrom, passed away on April 13, 2022 at the age of 91. Born in Boston, she was the daughter to the late Francis and Bertha (Tierney) Flaherty. She was the loving wife to her late husband Ivan W. Wikstrom for over 60 years. She was raised in East Boston and attended Boston Schools. She later worked for the Stoughton school system as a Teacher's Aide, working with special needs children for many years. Her and her husband were active at Our Lady of the Rosary Church out of Stoughton. She enjoyed reading, traveling and camping in Maine. She was a 'snowbird' during the winter months residing in Bradenton, FL. Most of all she truly loved spending time with her family.

Irene is survived by her children Karen A. White and her husband Daniel of Marshfield, Nancy J. Wikstrom of Bridgewater, Diane M. Bielski and her husband Gregory of Easton, William I. Wikstrom and his wife Janette of New Jersey and Stacey A. Gray and her husband Richard of Berkley. She is also survived by her 11 grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park Street (Rt. 27) Stoughton, on Monday April 18th from 9-10AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30AM at St. James, 560 Page Street, Stoughton. Interment will be held at Knollwood Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations in Irene's memory may be made to American Cancer Society, PO Box 1120, Framingham, MA 01701.
