Iya A. (Maurer) Morrissey

Iya A (Maurer) Morrissey, 46, died unexpectedly on Sunday May 24, 2026. Born and raised in Volgograd, Russia, daughter of the late Alexander Uverov and Juliana Maurer and step daughter to Marina Kulneva, she was a graduate of Volgograd schools and also graduated from college in Volgograd. She came to the US in 2004, married her husband Michael F Morrissey and settled in Easton, where they have raised their beloved son Ivan A Morrissey. Iya was the founding publisher of Easton Living magazine and also the Program Director for the Easton Chamber of Commerce. In her free time she loved to travel with her husband to Russia, Europe, Spain and Thailand and around the US. Iya also loved fashion.


Iya is survived by her husband Michael F Morrissey, and her son Ivan A Morrissey, both of Easton and the stepmother of Samantha Cunningham of NJ. She is also survived by her stepmother Marina Kulneva and an Aunt, cousin and nieces in Germany and cousins in Russia.
